Artisans in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana weave this colorful tote from thick, tough elephant grass that has been dyed warm shades or red, pink, and orange. Bolga baskets can be easily wet down and reshaped, and can be used and enjoyed for years on end.

When the baby Bolga is too small and the classic Bolga is too big, we have something just right: the midsize Bolga basket! This basket features a classic sawtooth weave pattern, in a beautiful mix of aqua, pink, light green, and deep blue. The baskets in this edition are similar but not identical; please see photos for examples.
