About the Artisans:
Hand-carved shields from Cameroon are artfully crafted from single pieces of wood. Featuring a variety of intricate designs and patterns, these shields are truly unique pieces.
This one of a kind Punu Ceremonial mask is handmade in Gabon. Representing an idealized female face, the mask features characteristic high coiffures reflecting the Punu women's elaborate hair styles. Punu masks were often worn by dancers during ceremonies called Bwiti which were to celebrate ancestors.

These hand-carved wooden elephant sculptures add the earthy, exotic feel of safari lodge decor to your home. These wall mounts are carved from jacaranda in Kenya using bone as tusks, then dyed to a rich deep brown with a leather hanging strap affixed to the back.

We work with an amazing wood cooperative in Kenya called the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative that consists of both young and old men who practice woodworking and painting in a open-air workshop. This environmentally responsible group takes great care to legally procure all types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.
These hand-carved, hand-painted wall masks evoke the spirit of African wildlife while remaining non-harmful to animals and fair trade. Hues of green, yellow and orange make this display mask a beautiful addition to the wall.

This environmentally-responsible group takes care to legally procure all types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.
These handcrafted holders are made from sturdy metal and hand-carved, textured wood. Featuring a meaningful Adinkra symbol, the holders bring meaning and rustic style to the bathroom.
Measures 8.5"L x 2.5"W x 8"T. Due to the handmade nature of this item, slight variation is expected.
GYE NYAME (except for God) a symbol of the omnipotence and supremacy of God.
SANKOFA (go back and get it) a symbol of finding wisdom from the lessons of the past.
DWENNIMMEN (ram's horns) a symbol reminding us that even the strong must be humble.
About the Artisans:
Founded by Andy Koney nearly 20 years ago in his bedroom, today the Ghanian artistic collective known as Yenok employs 40 men and women who are dedicated to creating beautiful furniture and woodworking art, often with a spiritual flair. Yenok's products are recognized for their high quality and custom craftsmanship.
